Sam Houston Electric Cooperative is reporting that service has now been restored to 19,000 members. With significant damage across the area, additional contractors are on their way to help restore service safely to their consumer-members. As crews are out restoring service, they are reporting serious damage, such as many fallen trees and downed power lines. Often there are multiple locations that need repair along a stretch of line. Remember to stay away from down lines and be safe when using generators.
