🗽 New York City
Last week, I had the pleasure of visiting New York City with my family. We spent the week learning, exploring, and walking around the city. It was such a fun and educational trip.
Did you know that New York City is home to 12 National Park Service sites preserving more than 400 years of American history? While we were there, I even earned my Junior Ranger badge at Statue of Liberty National Monument! As someone who loves sharing the magic of our national parks through my books, it was especially inspiring to explore these historic places in person.
Did you know that you can get a library card at the New York Public Library for free? Yes, I got one! The New York Public Library is the second largest library in the United States behind the Library of Congress and it's a beautiful place to visit.

"The End." Those two words contain a lot. They signify the finish of a story. They can bring relief, sadness, happiness, and quite a few other emotions depending on the book. If it's a really good book, you don't want it to end. Like a novel or story, I have felt a number of "the ends" this past month with my oldest graduating high school and my youngest ending 8th grade. When a book ends, there's a new book to start and explore. I am looking forward to these new chapters of their lives. Congratulations to all the 2026 graduates out there! 🎓
