📖 Library Card Sign-up Month

Did you know that September is Library Card Sign-up Month? It is! When was the last time you visited your local library? Libraries offer so much more than books from free programs and activities to resources for all ages! And let's not forget about all the free books! 😉 If you’re new to your local library, bring your ID and proof of address (a utility bill works) and head to your local branch today. I also recommend signing up for your library’s newsletter to hear about all of their free and fun events.

Speaking of libraries, I had the honor to participate in my library's summer program a few weeks ago. I'm so grateful for this fun opportunity! Enjoy a few photos from the event below.

🏴‍☠️ International Talk Like a Pirate Day

All you bilge rats, Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrgh! Did you know that September 19th is International Talk Like a Pirate Day? Dean loves this particular day! He definitely walks around his house speaking like a pirate and driving Reese a bit mad!

Create your own pirate name today! First, pick a color. Next, select an animal. Last, choose a profession. Put these three words together for your very own pirate name. Reply and let me know your pirate name! Mine is Red Dolphin Designer. 😂

🚗 Books on the Go

Fall is here, which means classmate birthday parties, soccer games, and lots of time on the go! Children's books make fun and unique birthday gifts and they're also an easy way to keep kids entertained during a sibling's game or activity (no screen required!). Local friends, visit Wit and Whimsy Toys and/or Old Haunts Bookshop to find my books along with a number of other great children's books! I never leave either store empty-handed!

Happy 3rd birthday to Bison Blog on September 26th! Thank you to everyone who has read, shared, reviewed, and supported this book over the last three years. I really appreciate it! And this year, Bison Blog's birthday falls on National Public Lands Day! National Public Lands Day celebrates caring for America's public lands. How fitting is that?!
