Monthly Challenges for Naturists: A Guide to Embracing Freedom Year-RoundMonthly Challenges for Your Naturist JourneyAs naturists, we celebrate the freedom and authenticity of living life as naturally as possible. However, even for seasoned naturists, it can be inspiring to shake up routines and embark on new adventures. Monthly challenges are a fantastic way to connect more deeply with the naturist lifestyle, discover fresh perspectives, and strengthen community bonds. Here’s a guide to monthly challenges for naturists that can make each month a meaningful step in your journey. Join me in giving each of these challenges a try and feel free to comment other challenges as well! January: Declutter Your LifeThe new year is a perfect time to focus on simplicity. As naturists, we’re already tuned into living minimally—but could you take it further? Spend this month decluttering your home, donating unused items, and creating an environment that reflects your naturist values of simplicity and mindfulness. Part of this decluttering, I’m removing one item from my closet that I no longer wear or need and adding it to a charity donation sack. At the end of January, I will be donating the clothing to a local charity. February: Naturist Self-CareCelebrate love (and self-love) by dedicating February to naturist self-care. Try daily mindfulness exercises, skin-nourishing routines, or outdoor meditation—weather permitting. Self-care in the nude helps you connect with your body in an intimate and respectful way. My self-care for February will be getting a 1 hour full body deep tissue massage. A message always refreshes me and helps to realign my body. March: Explore Naturist ArtDedicate March to celebrating art in its most natural form. Visit galleries featuring naturist-friendly art, or create your own! Sketch, paint, or photograph natural landscapes or self-portraits that honor the human form and nature’s beauty. For March, I plan to try to get out to some remote locations where I can be clothing free and do some self portraits. April: Go GreenEmbrace environmentalism this month by adopting eco-friendly habits. Whether it’s starting a compost pile, planting a garden, or participating in a naturist-led cleanup event, use April to align your lifestyle with sustainability—a principle at the heart of naturism. During April, I will be preparing my yard to kick off spring by raking, pruning and more. May: Outdoor AdventuresWith spring in full swing, it’s time to explore the great outdoors. Plan a naturist hike, visit a clothing-optional beach, or camp under the stars. Challenge yourself to spend as much time as possible outdoors, reconnecting with nature in your most authentic state. Personally I will be participating in World Naked Gardening Day on May 3rd, which is the first Saturday of May. All of my preparation in April should set me up well for the naked gardening I will be doing. June: Host a Naturist GatheringCelebrate the arrival of summer by hosting a naturist get-together. Whether it’s a potluck, barbecue, or game night, focus on building connections with others in the community. Use this month to strengthen bonds and create lasting memories. I likely will not be hosting a gathering myself but I do plan to join a local naturist gathering. July: Body Confidence BoostJuly is about celebrating yourself! Challenge negative self-talk and practice body positivity. Try activities like nude yoga, journaling, or even attending a body-positive workshop. By the end of the month, aim to feel more comfortable and confident in your skin. During July, I want to try to do some nude yoga on my own at home. August: Naturist Photography ProjectCapture the essence of naturism through photography. Document the beauty of nature, the human form, or the interplay of light and shadow in natural settings. Share your work with the naturist community to inspire and connect. If all goes well, I will hopefully be able to visit Mountain Air Ranch Family Nudist Resort and will have the opportunity to photograph some authentic naturist moments. September: Learn Something NewExpand your horizons by picking up a new skill or hobby this month. From learning a new naturist-friendly sport like Pickleball to trying your hand at creative writing or sustainable crafting, use September to grow and enrich your life. My approach for September will be to continue to develop my naturist photography skills in new and challenging ways. October: Naturist Travel ChallengeExplore a new naturist destination! Plan a weekend getaway to a naturist resort, campground, or beach you’ve never visited. Traveling as a naturist opens doors to unique experiences and opportunities for self-discovery. There are so many opportunities I’d like to jump on for this monthly challenge. On the top of my bucket list is a visit to Valley View Hot Springs in Moffat, Colorado. November: Gratitude PracticeAs the year winds down, dedicate November to gratitude. Reflect on what you’re thankful for as a naturist. Whether it’s journaling, sharing gratitude with loved ones, or giving back to your community, this challenge encourages mindfulness and appreciation. To show gratitude in November, I want to write personal notes of gratitude to my naturist friends and others around me. December: Reflect and PlanUse December to look back on your naturist journey throughout the year. What challenges did you enjoy most? What did you learn about yourself? Use these reflections to set meaningful naturist goals for the upcoming year. How to Stay Motivated
Monthly challenges offer a structured yet flexible way to deepen your naturist experience.
