Luxembourg City - Thursday 15th August 2024
Luxembourg City, the capital of Luxembourg, is a charming blend of medieval and modern. The city enchants with its fortified old town perched on dramatic cliffs, offering breathtaking views over the Alzette and Pétrusse rivers.
The Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is filled with narrow cobblestone streets, historic fortifications and picturesque squares.

Luxembourg City is compact, making it perfect for exploring on foot while enjoying its unique mix of cultures. We wandered through the main shopping area and some of the cobblestone streets.

We also walked the Chemin de la Corniche, a walking path cut along the Bock's sides, which offered stellar views of The Grund and the Alzette Valley.
View from 'the balcony' - The Grund District
Also known as 'the most beautiful balcony in Europe', the Walls of the Corniche rise above the river valley and astonish every visitor with a stunning view.
