Next week, the renowned Budweiser Clydesdales will grace Southern Maryland with their presence, participating in two distinct parades. These events, set for Wednesday, August 21st at Solomons Island and Thursday, August 22nd at National Harbor, will offer locals the opportunity to witness the full hitch—comprising all eight horses and the Budweiser wagon—in a grand display of tradition and craftsmanship.
The first parade is scheduled from 3 to 5 PM, starting at the Calvert Marine Museum on Solomons Island. The following day, festivities will continue from 4 to 6 PM at The Plateau in National Harbor. Each event promises a unique opportunity to experience the majestic Clydesdales up close and capture memorable photographs with the world-famous horses.
In addition to the parades, each event will feature a special ceremony where a local recipient will be presented with a scholarship from Folds of Honor, a charity supporting military families. This gesture underscores the community and philanthropic spirit associated with the Clydesdales' visit.
The Clydesdales' tour in Southern Maryland also celebrates the recent accolade awarded to Bob Hall Beverage Company by Anheuser-Busch—the "Ambassador of Excellence" Award. This recognition is a testament to the company's outstanding contributions and commitment to excellence in the beverage industry.
Community members and visitors are encouraged to attend these free events to enjoy a slice of Americana and witness the grandeur of the Budweiser Clydesdales. More details about the parade routes and timing can be found at the event listings for Solomons Island and National Harbor.
