I managed to spin half an ounce of fiber yesterday leaving me with another half an ounce to spin to finish this bobbin. It's going quickly since I gave the wheel a once over. When this is plied I will choose another single braid of Allons-Y fiber to give me a skein of yarn that will coordinate with it. I seem to remember having at least three semi-solid braids that would work nicely together for a knitting project. Somewhere on the left side of that second shelf are the wool/silk braids I'm thinking about...
I can't believe I'm still going on about the weather, but...dang! Enough of the wet stuff already! The ground is like a sponge! The grass already needs cutting again but there is no way until it dries out lot more and the guys aren't due to be back until next week. We usually enjoy many days of having the doors and windows open this time of year but not this Spring! Too wet, too many bugs.
Audrey and the kids have been getting the house ready for Terminex to come out this afternoon and deal with their pest problems. I'm sure the wet weather has contributed to the bugs and mice. They need the inside of the house treated as well as outside whereas we only have the outside of our house treated. We've never had much problem with pests indoors since Terminex has been coming out twice a year, except for the occasional spider now and then which isn't a big deal. The mosquitos are awful this year and they've started earlier than usual. I think having the inside of the garage sprayed goes a long way to keeping bugs out of our house.
Today is chiropractor appointment day and I really need an adjustment after spending more time at the spinning wheel as well as my normal day to day knitting. The only other thing I need to do today is a load of laundry so I stay caught up. We don't need groceries yet and I can't think of any errands that we need to run.
Hope your Tuesday is a good one. Stay safe. Stay dry! God bless, ya'll.
Note to self: trim fingernails! I'm tired of hitting the wrong keys on the keyboard.
