Another, of 'Portland Head', by HIM, I bought in May 2021.
It has pride of place, next to my sink, in my bathroom
(which has many pieces of art).
Scottish 'Kris Kristiansen', now gracing Maine, is quite the seascape & lighthouse painter. Check out his Website here.
I was LUCKY enough to meet him (& his very gracious wife 'Marilyn') in May 2021 (during COVID) in the main parking lot at 'Fort Williams'. I saw his paintings from afar & immediately realized that they were SPECIAL. Of course, I had to go see; of course, I had have a little chat. As soon as he spoke I knew he was Scottish. That to I, an adopted Scot of long standing, was a thrill. He is quite the artist, quite the man -- & the two of them are so affable & gracious. SHEER DELIGHT. You really should go to Fort Williams, on a weekend, JUST TO MEET THEM -- & maybe buy a painting. You will NOT be dissapointed.
Other than a very-credible self-portrait most of the work he had on display, quite rightly, had to do with Fort Williams & its iconic & historic lighthouse — the oldest in Maine. I liked his work so much that I bought two paintings.
I bought a painting in 2021. It has pride of place in my bathroom. Yes, I know the steam will damage it over time BUT I want to be able to enjoy it MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY. This way I do. SMILE.
I wanted to bring him to YOUR attention. Check him out. You will NOT be dissapointed.
