I haven't drawn much this summer. Instead I've been trying to recuperate my creative muscles by exploring areas I haven't ventured into yet. I tried making marionettes (I didn't get very far) and I'm now learning HTML and CSS, which has been very exciting. I'm now ready to crawl back to my more typical ventures.
I decided to print on another t-shirt, and I chose Dungeon Meshi as my subject. It is an anime about a group of dungeon adventurers who eat their way through the dungeon on their journey to rescue a fallen party member. It's one of the best fantasy anime I've seen. I love the wide range of interesting characters, the worldbuilding, and that it's not what it initially seems.
I didn't want anything with the characters' faces on it, because I get embarrassed too easily. My solution was to include one representative item for each of the main characters. The eyeballs, without revealing too much, represent another character. The border is something I've been meaning to try for a while. I keep noticing beautiful borders in various places, so I wanted to include one. I just like them!
I'm going to print a t-shirt for each of my siblings who watch the show with me. When the next season begins I will force them to wear their t-shirts for my entertainment.
