How do you know when it's time to unplug? What do you do to make it happen?

Into my head pops an immediate picture of me, in fury, dismantling the "bl**dy" xbox, locking the contraption into my car boot and driving triumphantly off to work.
Haven't done that for a few years - ha ha ha!(I guess Small Boy has eventually grown-up?) But really recommend it to fellow (single) parents as a disciplinary measure for the teen years.
But reading the prompt more closely, I realise that it is probably meant to be more philosophical. The 'mental unplug' of a self-care regime or the full-scale 'digital unplug' of a spiritual detox or retreat.
Now that I am less good at...life is always so busy and I often appear to be the only capable adult in the scenario. I'm off to read everyone else's posts and get some tips ...
