After twelve years of talking about it I finally fenced my garden. So much work!
Now everything is protected from both big and small animals.
I moved some perennial peppers into the tree bed. Why? Well I moved them so I could put bananas behind this bed to shade the cherries when it gets really hot.
Drip line and emiters are in on this side of my yard.
If you live somewhere hot, buy one of these. Really. I have never had a mister and it made what would have been awful, hot and sweaty work on the emiters, cooler. I was able to focus on what I was doing. Otherwise: I would be focused on how hot and miserable I was (and it was only in the upper 80s. Our humidity makes any heat unbearable.)
No cute bunnies, nasty possums, or rats and mice in this garden! If you look, I have the Marionberries up on support now. I have gotten so much done this year!
Put in some bananas and dripline. Hoping these do well.
I got a single daylilly start from my mother in law about ten years ago. I've divided them repeatedly and now they are everywhere, front and back. These were single in Colorado. They are double for me down here. This is one of my favorite parts of late spring!
So many daylillies! I've decided to order some different colors, since these do so well for me.
Meet you out in the garden to stick our noses in the lillies!
