I started Sunday morning early at "The Church of What's Happenin' Now!!" aka in my case the West Eugene wetlands. Did not have a great deal of hope for any images when I was driving out as it was overcast and rather dull but went up a new to me access road and found a large field just filled with Camas blooms.
Was just totally engaged in finding a large view - the one above - but then after some time decided to have some fun with the blooms. Intentional Camera Movement.
Heading back I decided to go up the access road to the Oak Hill Cemetery where I have photographed before to check on the status of the dogwood blooms. They have about another week and some are certainly declining. However I noticed a really lovely tree in full bloom down in the dark forest and bushwhacked my down to where I could form a composition. The one below is one of my favorite dogwood compositions of this year.
Just FYI: The dogwood on Willamette Pass east of Oakridge are in abundance as I am sure they are likewise of McKenzie Pass and up the Row River and various other watersheds on the west side of the Cascades.
