At approximately 12:34 a.m., deputies from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a residence within the 46000 block of Midway Drive following reports of an assault. Upon arrival, they discovered two victims of a brutal attack involving a sledgehammer, one of whom sustained serious injuries.
The Criminal Investigations Division (CID) of the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office swiftly took charge of the investigation, leading to the identification of the suspect as Devone Articis Hall, a 35-year-old man of no fixed address. An arrest warrant has been issued for Hall, who is described as being approximately 5' 6" tall with a thin build.
The authorities have issued a warning to the public, advising that Hall may pose an immediate threat due to the violent nature of the assault.
