Despite the tough outcomes, the games highlighted moments of promise and areas for growth for the Southern Maryland team.

The series opener on February 17 concluded with a 10-0 loss for the College of Southern Maryland. The team struggled to find its footing against a strong Rowan College lineup, which managed to secure an early lead and maintain it throughout the game. Southern Maryland ended the game with 2 hits and 4 errors, a stark contrast to Rowan College's 10 runs on 9 hits. The pitching efforts from Southern Maryland, including Kyle Chowaniec and Caleb Bean, showcased moments of effectiveness, but the team was unable to halt Rowan College's momentum.

Continuing into February 18, Southern Maryland aimed to rebound in a doubleheader. The first game of the day saw a slightly narrower margin of defeat, with an 8-1 loss. Pitcher Tucker Duke, despite a strong effort over 3 innings where he allowed 2 runs and struck out 3, took the loss. The team's defense faced challenges, committing 3 errors, which contributed to the difficulty in mounting a comeback.

The final game of the series offered Southern Maryland an opportunity to adjust and improve, yet resulted in an 8-3 loss. Chase Bart, starting pitcher for Southern Maryland, worked through 5 innings, allowing 5 runs against 25 batters. The team showed signs of offensive life, with Tyree Claxton driving in 2 runs, underscoring the potential within the roster. However, defensive missteps and limited offensive opportunities hampered the team's ability to fully capitalize on their moments of momentum.

Throughout the series, the College of Southern Maryland demonstrated perseverance and moments of skilled play, particularly from players like Cody Cox and Tyree Claxton, who stood out for their contributions on the field. Despite the series outcomes, these games serve as a learning experience for the team, highlighting the importance of minimizing errors and seizing scoring opportunities.
