The Yolo County Library is once again challenging patrons to read as many books as they can this year with the continuation of their reading program, 52: A Yearlong Reading Journey.
Those interested in participating can pick up a 52 checklist at their local library branch or sign up via Beanstack to join the program digitally. Beanstack is available on mobile devices through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store or can be accessed by web browser at www.YoloCountyLibrary.Beanstack.org/reader365.
"We are really excited about continuing 52: a yearlong reading journey in 2024!," said Diana Lopez, Yolo County librarian, in a press release. "Reading is a lifelong skill that can offer many benefits. It is a great way to learn new things, relax and even escape into exciting worlds different from your own. Reading can also be a great way to connect with others and make new friends by sharing recommendations and joining book clubs. If you're looking for some encouragement and an opportunity to read more books, sign up for this amazing program!"
The reading program is free and sponsored by the Yolo County Library Foundation and the various Friends of the Library groups. For more information or to sign up, visit your local Yolo County Library branch or www.YoloCountyLibrary.org/ycl52.
