Do you spend more time thinking about the future or the past? Why?
A great question for the January 5th installment of "Bloganuary."
Thinking about the past; thinking about the future.
The key word in the question being asked in my estimation is "thinking." There is a huge difference between "thinking about the past and future" as compared to "living in the past and future."
Realistically, we all think about past accomplishments or failures, as well as what the future may hold for us.
Although we can't change or alter the past, we learn from it. Take those lessons learned in the past and apply them to propel us into a better future for ourselves and our families.
We can think about the future; and plan for it....but we can't live there.
But, what we can do is "live in the moment" that is presently in front of us. Be present in it, and enjoy all that the present has for us. Because the moments in front of us right now are the only things we truly have. We don't live in the future and we don't live in the past.
We only can live in the moment we're in.
Live it to its fullest extent possible.
