| hikeminded Jan 9 | Wow! This is crazy. This hotel in a tiny village in southern Germany opened in the 70s and was already an eclectic design gem at the time. The owners kept and cared for the original interior for a long time. even when it was then closed for more than 20 years. The granddaughter of the owners then saw the potential in it and reopened in 2010 with the original design. Even the vinyl disc on the record player was one of James Last, a very well known entertainer with a Big Band in Germany in the 70s. Above all when a design was very striking at its time, there is always a phase when it becomes completely obsolete and people identify it with the past. Just think of fashion. But sometimes there are people who see something in it and conserve it over this phase of obsoleteness until it becomes attractive again. We had the incredible luck to be able to enter that day and take some pictures of this time machine and we felt like being in a movie. | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
