At Alabama Livestock Auctions, for the week ended September 1, 2023, receipts at 21 markets totaled an estimated 12,188 head compared to 11,658 last week and 13,019 last year. Compared to last week: Slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 3.00 higher, slaughter bulls sold mostly steady. Feeder steers sold 1.00 to 5.00 lower, feeder heifers and feeder bulls sold steady to 3.00 lower. Trade active with moderate to good demand on feeders. Replacement cows and pairs sold steady. Year-to-date receipts totaled 410,288 compared to 407,550 last year.
At Florida Livestock Auctions, for the week ended September 1, 2023, receipts at 10 markets 5,076 last week 9,504 last year 8,868. Compared to last week: Slaughter cows and bull mostly steady. Feeder classes steady. Replacement cows 1.00 to 3.00 lower. Year-to-date receipts totaled 229,416 compared to 215,987 last year.
At Georgia Livestock Auctions, for the week ended September 1, 2023, receipts at 20 markets 7,001 compared to 7,314 last week and 9,276 last year.
