That's an excellent question for a very early Sunday morning along the coast of the Bay of Fundy.
I guess in a nutshell to answer that question - not too much actually.
We've been kind of clicking along and doing a few minor projects around the house, including completing the painting of a wooden shed we had built back in the spring.
A week or so ago, we headed west to the Eatonville area of Chignecto Provincial Park, located about an hour from the "old homestead." We hiked the "Three Sisters Trail" and then hike along the Spicers Cove beach area at low tide. It seems that one doesn't have to go far, for great scenery.
A few pics of the area.
On Friday, we made a long day trip to Halifax to take in Day 3 of the "Halifax Busker Festival" along the waterfront. What is a busker festival, you might be asking? Well, it is simply that. A six-day festival along the waterfront of Halifax that includes around a dozen of the world's best street performers(buskers) who perform multiple times per day spread across three stages along the boardwalk in Halifax, and at a stage across the harbour in Dartmouth.
All I can say is - it was so worth it to go. World-class street performers on stage for 45 minutes at a time, doing their "thing" for free. Donations however were greatly appreciated by all of them, as they are not paid to attend the festival.
Tomorrow(Monday), we're off to Prince Edward Island for a short three-day adventure. We have a few things planned and a few new spots we'd like to see, but nothing terribly set in concrete. We're attempting to connect with some folks that we know there, but that's about it. It's hard to think that the summer is half over.
The first weekend in August is a long weekend across most of Canada and it typically heralds that the summer is half over and starts unofficially the clock ticking down to the start of school again in September. Not that firing up of school means too much to us, given we haven't had kids in school for many years. But, for many though - the clock has started to count down.
A few cool and neat things, but mostly just the ordinary day-to-day routine. I'd best be getting going, given there are a few things to take care of before we head out tomorrow.
So, how has your summer been to this point? Drop a comment. It would be great to hear what you've been up to.
