SHERIFF'S REPORTS
The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office:
DUI: Ponciano Ambrosio-Ramirez, 38, of Ukiah, was booked at Mendocino County Jail Aug. 10 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended license and of violating his probation. He was arrested by the California Highway Patrol.
DUI: John L. Francis, 51, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail Aug. 10 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and with a license that had been suspended/revoked for DUI. He was arrested by the CHP.
RESISTING: Damien G. Portoghese, 43, of Yreka, was booked at county jail Aug. 10 on suspicion of resisting/threatening an officer, battery on a peace officer, of illegal possession of ammunition and of being under the influence of a controlled substance. He was arrested by the Ukiah Police Department.
FORGERY: Ronald R. Stephanson, 57, of Upper Lake, was booked at county jail Aug. 10 on suspicion of forging/altering vehicle registration, driving with a suspended license and possessing a controlled substance. He was arrested by the MCSO.
ILLEGAL MARIJUANA CULTIVATION: Cristian J. Ayala Farias, 26, of Stanislaus County, was booked at county jail Aug. 11 on suspicion of illegal marijuana cultivation/processing. He was arrested by the CHP.
THREATS: Corinna A. Fahey, 54, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail Aug. 11 on suspicion of making threats. She was arrested by the UPD.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Michael A. Gallegos, 54, of Point Arena, was booked at county jail Aug. 11 on suspicion of domestic violence and of violating his probation. He was arrested by the MCSO.
ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON: Timothy McIlavin, 54, of Hopland, was booked at county jail Aug. 11 on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. He was arrested by the MCSO.
VEHICLE THEFT: Jerome E. McMurphy, 52, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail Aug. 11 on suspicion of vehicle theft and of violating his parole. He was arrested by the MCSO.
DUI: Mauricio Bautista Cabrera, 31, of Santa Rosa, was booked at county jail Aug. 12 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested by the CHP.
DUI: Omar P. Cabrera, 48, of Willits, was booked at county jail Aug. 12 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and of violating his probation. He was arrested by the CHP.
DUI: Jenny L. Griffin Stephens, 61, of Willits, was booked at county jail Aug. 12 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested by the Willits Police Department.
ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF FIREARM AND AMMUNITION: Joseph R. Leggett, 38, of Willits, was booked at county jail Aug. 12 on suspicion of illegally possessing a firearm, ammunition, fireworks and a controlled substance, as well as violating his probation. He was arrested by the WPD.
DUI: Wesley T. Middleton, 39, of San Francisco, was booked at county jail Aug. 12 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested by the Willits Police Department.
TRANSPORTING A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: Jennifer M. Schmitt Feliz, 40, of Covelo, was booked at county jail Aug. 12 on suspicion of possessing and transporting a controlled substance. She was arrested by the MCSO.
RESISTING: Tristin M. Wiley, 28, of Willits, was booked at county jail Aug. 12 on suspicion of resisting arrest and of violating her probation. She was arrested by the MCSO.
Those arrested by law enforcement officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the information is in error should contact the appropriate agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant, all DUI cases reported by law enforcement agencies are reported by the newspaper. The Daily Journal makes no exceptions.
