On Monday I was feeling ambitious so I cleaned and purged the pantry. I was also feeding the animals so I was in and out all morning. It was hot. It was hot at 5am and only became worse as the relentless sun shined so hard beating the front of the house with fire rays. Around 10:30 or so I heard a sound and so did the dogs. Benny and Molly headed to the oven door, I mean front door, so I followed and looking out I saw kittens! Tiny kittens. Their little mouths were open trying to get air and two couldn't make any sound at all. They would open their mouths and nothing. I scooped up three and went back to see if there were any more and there was one more squished behind a plant rack so I freed her too. I put the first three in his lap and he said there was no way they would have lived. They were way too hot. The porch is concrete with no shade at all! I later checked the Ring with Rainy and she found they had been there since at least 6am if not before. Wayne took the needle out of his insulin needle and filled it with water and they took it. We went to Pet Smart and bought a bottle and formula and wet food and now I'm bottle feeding these kittens. I hear them now. My cats are not at all happy about this, but its only for a few weeks then they can go to their forever homes. This was all on Monday, Tuesday morning they lapped formula from a dish and ate some wet food too! I think they're at least 4 weeks if not 5. They weight like 11 ounces. Gotta bounce!! Kittens are calling.
