Things or life as we know it, at times will ebb and flow much like a tidal river. Not a big revelation there I must say.
The original purpose of my blog was to record and share our outdoor adventures(both trials and successes). And much like the ebbing and flowing of a tidal river, it has certainly changed and headed off in a variety of directions since the summer of 2016.
Many of the 1000+ posts done since that time, I mulled over in my head for exceedingly long periods before they actually made it onto the keyboard. Some sat so long in the "drafts folder", that I eventually gave them to heave-ho into the electronic "WordPress trash bin." The brain wave thought was if you've been in a draft form of some description for a year or more, chances are ya ain't going to see the light of being published.
Others...well they've been more of the "spur of the moment" group - hitting the blogosphere faster than a lightning bolt across a darkened and menacing sky.
I haven't been, nor do I see myself at any point in the future becoming a "rabid fan" of the old "quote of the day" club.
Now having said that, I've been known on occasion, to open that ancient creaky, and rusty door and step across that threshold into the murky world of "here's a quote or cliche that will simply make your day a stunning 24-hour period."
Although, not a quote or cliche in the broad definition of "inspirational quote or cliche", it sums up in many ways where we find ourselves situated in this post-summer/pre-fall period in the calendar.
Yes - the "pumpkin spice" time of the year is nearly upon us. Thankfully, I haven't yet heard a radio commercial or for that matter seen any adverts for the "whole pumpkin spice lifestyle" yet.......... but today brings us one day closer.
May the universe have mercy on our souls.
--as always with love--
--- get outdoors; find inspiration; discover yourself ---
