Fathers Day is right around the corner, and what better way to figure out what to get that special dude than a gift guide featuring a bunch of stuff that he's probably into.
I'm going to be honest with you, no dad wants a hedge trimmer for a Father's Day gift, or any day for that matter. It's like buying your wife or mom a vacuum for her birthday. Sure it's a gift and a nice gesture but deep down inside they really want to strangle you.
If your Dad or Husband is anything like me, he's going to want something really good for his special day, and don't worry ladies it's not what you're thinking.
Get him a gift that he can put to good use every single day of the rest his life, and he'll think about you every time he uses it.
I've put together a very extensive, almost too long of a list of different stuff and things that almost any guy would be happy to get, so let's get into it!
We're going to start where every man's day should start, that's right, with coffee. You can just go to the grocery store and pick up some Chock Full of Nuts and call it a day, but why buy that crap when you can get him a subscription to Fire Dept Coffee? They offer a variety of different roasts and flavors that are sure to kill that morning fog. Or you could check out Ravens Wing Coffee and get him a bag or 5 of their Texas Pecan medium roast coffee which you'll love also because it will make your house smell amazing!
After he has his morning coffee he's going to want to get dressed so why not pick up a couple tee shirts from my Swag Shop. I offer a few different designs so he can look great while also supporting what I do here.
If that's not for you, maybe he's a hockey fan? Check out Violent Gentlemen Hockey Club. They offer everything from Tee Shirts to shorts and everything in between. They use top-quality materials and release new designs twice a month.
I bet your Dad could use a new wallet. Check out a few of my favorites like FailSafeGoods, Hound Valley Goods, or South of Civil. Each one of them offers a bunch of different designs in many different leather colors, so you can get him a custom leather wallet that will withstand the beating he gives his gear.
Perhaps he needs a new pen? Does he write a lot for work or in his free time? Get him a bolt action pen from Tactile Turn or one of their other different models which they make out of high-quality materials like Titanium or Brass, he's sure to love.
You could always get him something that will help you out too! Like a flashlight or pocket knife. When the kids lose something under the couch or there's a package that needs to be opened why not hand him his Olight, Streamlight, or Coast Flashlight, and then his Knives By Nuge Wicket or ChickPea, or Buck 110 to take care of those tasks.
When it comes down to Holiday season or birthdays, he's going to need a tool to open up all those gifts. How about something like. Sog Powerpint or Leatherman Rebar? Maybe let him select his own tools and get him something awesome from KeyBar? Any of those multi-tools will surely get the job done.
Lastly, he's going to need a place to store all this new gear so he can bring it all fishing with him. Get him a backpack from 3VGear, so he can keep all his new gear securely in a backpack or sling bag and he can bring it anywhere with a durable bag that will withstand being thrown to the ground or in the back of his truck.
Your Dad is the silent backbone of your family. He's a provider, a protector, a therapist, a chef, a comedian, and so much more. Isn't it time to get him something he really wants? All of this gear with the exception of the All American Maker consumables will last him for generations if taken care of properly. This gear can be handed down and handed down again with many stories to tell and in my opinion, is way cooler than anything you can get at Home Depot.
