I'll start by saying that I've never been a huge podcast person. I'm sure it's only a matter of looking through what's available to become more in tune with the medium.
That said, at the top of my few subscribed-to podcasts is "WTF with Marc Maron," which I've listened to on and off for the last few years. Marc, a stand-up comic, is someone whose personality and approach to comedy practically never fails to connect with me. Marc may not be an A-Lister comic in terms of mainstream renown, but he's managed to carve a unique, sustained space within comedy through his lightly woeful yet insightful and poignant material.
Marc's work extends to his interview-style podcast, which he started in 2009 and continues to do with no signs of slowing down (I think). I find his conversations to be personable, informative and all around pleasant across all myriad of guests that come on the show. Marc recently interviewed Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, the duo directors behind "Everything Everywhere All at Once" -- I highly recommend to give the episode a listen!
