Slipping down the rabbit hole
Landing on a pile of leafs
The colors of fuchsia and gold
They glisten like jewels in a treasure chest
Standing up to see a table set for tea
Under a canopy of twinkle lights and lace strung in the branches of huge trees
The trees have faces, very expressive faces
But what they reveal I can not read
Drink Me, reads the note by the cupcake and Eat Me by the teacup
Obviously confused or maybe hurried and certainly not meant for me as not even I knew I was slipping down the rabbit hole today
Just ahead the veil flutters in the stir of a little breeze
Do I dare go further into the unknown or do I turn back to return to where I've already been?
This isn't what I intended to write but there it is and I am glad it's out there because I really like it. I was going to tell you about my dream in which there was a hunting party stalking Cheerios and Haus Cartright scuba diving. Well, maybe next time. Stop by tomorrow??
