Well, here we are with another of our favorites for this year, a beautiful Mourning Dove. They nest close by each year, though I have never found their nest. And I have never been able to get a photo of one of these beautiful birds. Until this past spring. They have been a summer favorite of mine since I was a kid. I love their lovely, almost haunting, song which they like to sing in the early morning. But the name Mourning comes from that song, not the time of day. Have a great day and God bless!
