Christmas 2022…

We had a great Christmas. I had to work a number of shifts but we still managed to celebrate and rejoice in the season and the meaning of the holiday. Caedmon read Luke 2:1-20 at our church Christmas Eve service and no one lit their hair on fire during the candle light part (which has happened to us in the past....). On Christmas Eve the kids enjoyed opening gifts from Clint's parents and aunt and Paxton opened his gifts from his foster family in Korea. The kids let me sleep in after my late shift all the way till 6AM on Christmas before they were up. They had fun with their stockings and then their gifts. Paxton has asked for drums since he could talk and has turned everything else into a drum, so thanks to marketplace we were able to score a really nice drum set for him that he now plays ALL THE TIME. But he was so excited and loves it and just started taking drum lessons with a friend from church and smiles all the time. Ember got some gifts and then got to go on a run with me with my new hands free running leash, she enjoyed being in the snow and running with me. My parents and brother and sister in law and niece came over mid morning and we had fun with gifts, my niece was most excited about the dress up clothes we got her, and Paxton was very excited about the suit my parents got him because that has been something he has been asking for as well. Leighton got a new backpack and was outside shooting his nerf guns most of the rest of the morning. Caedmon and I put together the ballet bar that my parents got him to use on the ballet floor that we got him. Coppelia threw on a dress up dress to play with Johanna and also played with her horses and unicorns. Edric was busy putting together the car that he got. We had a yummy lunch and enjoyed time together. I had to head into work, but despite that it was a great day. We have had so many blessings this past year and all grown and learned so much and have so much to be thankful for. Our house may be a little louder now and one might have to dodge nerf balls but it is such a blessing and I am thankful for each and every one of them and to our Savior who makes it all possible.
