I pray your Christmas Eve and Christmas Day events were spent with family and friends, making memories and reliving those from the past, and remembering that Christ is the Reason for the Season.
This 2nd Day of Christmas I am focusing on finishing a project and thanking God for the many blessings He has bestowed on me and my family. The list is long! And I am grateful. Lord, let me never take your blessings for granted. Let me always remember my Christian heritage and never doubt my Catholic faith, no matter the politics that inevitably impact your Church. Fallible, sometimes foolish men and women can lead others astray from within your Church. We must be vigilant and keep the faith.
I'm on the sixth mini skein of the current cowl and hope to have it finished soon. Ibuprofen and Cryofreeze finally got my shoulder calmed down so that I can enjoy knitting and spinning the past couple of days. This was where I stopped knitting last night so I should be able to finish it today.
I have a little over an ounce of fiber left to have four ounces on this bobbin and I'm planning on spinning another ounce before beginning the second bobbin. I have plenty of fiber so there really isn't any reason not to do so and I'd like to finish up the last of this fiber anyway. I left it at this point yesterday evening and should be able to spin another ounce today.
The weather warmed up a bit yesterday, into the mid 40's before dark. We enjoyed our Christmas meal: turkey breast, cornbread dressing, gravy, green beans and corn on the cob. We still have cookies and truffles from Harry & David so I didn't bake any pies this year.
We've been watching Death in Paradise on streaming video. We don't care for the current inspector on the show so we watch the older episodes. There will be another new episode of Midsomer Murders for us to watch this evening on streaming video with Acorn TV. A new series of episodes of The Chelsea Detective are currently being filmed so we'll have that to look forward to after the first of the year.
It's time to get the coffee brewing and decide what we want to do for breakfast. Have a blessed Monday, ya'll.
