Capital Light Up and Riverboat Cruise- On October 8th the Girl Scouts in the Heart of PA is holding a Pennsylvania State Capital Lighting to Honor of Girl Scouts' 110 Anniversary. At 5:30PM the capital will turn Girl Scouts green, and we hope to join our fellow Scouts in a lighting party to celebrate. Those who register in advance will also receive a free 110th Anniversary patch. Project WILD: Educator Workshop Project WILD
Project WILD is an interdisciplinary environmental education curriculum which focuses on wildlife.
This workshop is open to all educators who work with students from grades K-8: from formal teachers to naturalists, scout leaders, and others!
Earn five Act 48 hours while experiencing hands-on activities related to wildlife that help develop awareness, skills, and knowledge resulting in informed decisions and responsible behavior regarding wildlife and the environment.
Participants will receive the updated K-12 Curriculum & Activity Guide which now offers STEM activity extensions, field investigation activities, a WILD WORK career section and Outdoor Components.
Bring a sack lunch and dress for outdoor fun.
Cost is $10.00 in advance.
Registration is limited and required by Saturday, October 15.
