For the first time, Sonoma Raceway will open the upcoming Sept. 9-11 Ferrari Challenge to spectators on a super Saturday, Sept. 10, as sports cars and race cars tackle the famous 12-turn, 2.52-mile circuit.
"Seeing Ferrari Challenge on our historic road course is a gift we want to share with the entire Northern California community," said Sonoma Raceway Executive Vice President and General Manager Jill Gregory in a news release. "We love being able to offer different kinds of racing, activities and fun to fans of all ages, and this will be a spectacle for every race fan and car enthusiast."
As the largest single-make series in racing, more than 60 Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo race cars will compete in two classes in the final round of the 2022 season. As a combination race and lifestyle event, the golden hills of wine country will flash with red as Ferrari puts on an unparalleled pre-race show for drivers, teams, guests and now spectators.
In addition, a collection of ultra-exclusive Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2 cars will not only be on display but also take the track for lapping sessions. Spectators will not want to miss the post-race podium celebrations as well. The Saturday, Sept. 10 schedule can be found at SonomaRaceway.com
