Hi everyone!
Well, this is the 4th in our series and the name of this little fly is "Toxomerus Marginatus". It has a more common name too, "Margined Calligrapher", kind of an odd name and a large name for a tiny flower fly. These little flower flies are about 3/16 of an inch (about 5mm) long. They are one of the most abundant of our flower flies and can be found most of the summer around here. This one in the photo is a female, I am still trying to get a picture of the male, which is not quite so abundant around the yard but hopefully I can get a pic of one soon. Have a great day everyone and God bless!
