The Benicia High School boys tennis team swept Alhambra 8-0 on Thursday in Diablo Athletic League play.

Freshman Ian Zambrano, playing No. 1 singles, beat Joseph Nunoz 6-3, 6-1 as the Panthers are 3-0 in league play.

Sophomore Giacomo Biatta beat Ali Sobhi 6-0, 6-1. Freshmen Aidan Chen beat Suraj Somas beat Joe Galletti 6-0, 6-0, and No. 4 player Sami Asef 6-0, 6-3.  No. 5 player Adrian Hanford knocked off Yuki Watanabe 6-0, 6-3.

The doubles teams completed the sweep.

Ben Flitcroft/Noah Cillo beat Jake Varietta/Ankit Yadav 6-3, 6-2. Daniel Lee/Arman Bance beat Nathan Wagner/Dillon Spencer 6-0, 6-0 and Michael Jew/Josh Matsuzaki knocked off RJ Harcourt/Enrique Marquez 6-0, 6-1.
