This omicron variant is cramping the style of many live events throughout the U.S., but there are still chances to celebrate New Year's Eve — in person and safely — throughout the Front Range.

While some may opt to stay indoors with a bottle or two of champagne — for others who wish to venture out, there are various ways to usher in 2022 in style, from concerts to special holiday menus at some of the region's best restaurants.

If the Miley Cyrus and Pete Davidson NYE special just doesn't do it for you, consider this list a passport to a night of grazing, dancing, sipping and celebrating.

As Boulder County moves into the "high transmission" status, venues have noted that they are on high alert and are following the latest guidance from the CDC and local health departments. Both Boulder and Larimer counties currently have a mask mandate in effect.

"The Boulder Theater and Fox Theatre currently require proof of vaccination," said Cheryl Liguori, CEO of Z2 Entertainment, Colorado's largest independent live music promotion and entertainment company that also runs the Aggie Theatre in Fort Collins. "We are strongly encouraging wearing masks between eating and/or drinking at our shows even though it is not currently required since we are an Approved Vaccine Verified Venue."

In fact, most local events are requiring proof of vaccination, so be sure to carry that little card with you when leaving the house. And as always, mask up. Please be sure to double check if these events are still in motion before attending, as the ever-changing state of the pandemic could impact these happenings.
