Many brands have multiple other purposes than selling, especially the brands with more visibility. Brands with positive messages like these ones have the main goal of raising social awareness. They approach everyday problems like mental health, environmental problems, social and human rights, and so on. Their communication and their products are about a specific subject and they promote a lot more than a "simple" product.

The work of these brands with positive messages is remarkable. They want to transmit the message that you are not alone and that together we are stronger.

All of these brands donate a part of their profit to the cause they work on. So, when you buy something of these brands, you are in fact offering a friendly shoulder to the ones who need the most.

The Mayfair Group

Brands with positive messages defy the word "normal", and The Mayfair Group is a perfect example of that. There is a lot of stigmas about mental health issues, and like Jessie J said it "It's OK not to be OK". We need to be more kind to others and show them that they are not alone. Having a mental health problem is just as important as having a broken leg.

The Mayfair Group work passes by destigmatizing mental health issues by promoting aesthetic clothes that normalize the topic. The group has collaborations with organizations in the area like The Mental Health Coalition and Active Minds.

A lot of famous people like Cara Delevigne and Millie Bobby Brown wear their pieces. You might have seen them with a sweatshirt saying "Say Less Mean More". It is all we want in this winter- a cozy, stylish, and significant sweatshirt that makes us feel confident and empowered.

To Write Love On Her Arms

It is hard not to be inspired and touched by how this brand/movement/organization was born. To Write Love On Her Arms or TWLOHA, started with Jamie Tworkowski selling t-shirts to help pay his friend's treatments who was dealing with addiction, depression, and suicidal thoughts. He shared the friend's story and his journey on MySpace and inspired others to do the same. The goal was to help others that were in the same situation.

Since 2007 TWLOHA is an American non-profit organization that dedicates its time to presenting hope to the ones dealing with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. Besides being an organization that is always available to hear you, they also help to cost the treatment and recovery.

On their website, you can find a blog. Here you can read personal and true stories about how people deal with these kinds of problems and how they overcome them.
