Did you think posts about Paris were sooo last week? Then you're wrong! There's so much to explore around Paris besides the gardens and parks. It's a place full of history, fashionable streets, luxury museums that carry unthinkable art with years of history – like the Mona Lisa – that deserves a visit from you.

Today I bring you 5 cool things for you to do and visit while in Paris. Grab your backpack, comfortable shoes – maybe another cool part for you to trade for an Instagram post – and let's stroll around Paris and learn a bit more about the city of lights and see other things besides the most classical ones like the Eiffel Tower.

1- Modern Art Masterpieces

Visiting Paris without seeing some of its finest art, it's the same as going there and not taking a picture of the Eiffel Tower or eating a croissant. And that's why you need to visit the modern art masterpieces located at the Centre Pompidou. You will find art from Picasso, Magritte, Duchamp, and Pollock!

2- Did anyone say food?

Yes, I did! If you are a cuisine lover and can't wait to try some of Paris's most classical flavors, then the Marché des Enfants Rouges is where you need to be. It's a small food market that is full of Parisian flavours – literally. This historical market takes its name from the Enfants Rouges (Red Children) and Saturday is usually the day when there's more "life".

3- A movie night to remember

You can now watch a french movie at a former gay disco! If that does not say cool I don't know what will. Welcome to "The Louxor". It's time to trade the traditional movie scene and try something new while in Paris. This former gay disco was opened in 1921 and was abandoned for 25 years until its re-opening in 2013. All you need to do is choose the movie! P.s. There are some cool places for you to take great pictures and seize the moment.

4- Musée d'Orsay

In the old Gare d'Orsay, you will now find one of the finest collections of the 19th century. It's a trip to the past and one you won't forget anytime soon. There you can see different art styles such as realism, impressionism, and some other great pieces. The coolest part? It's located in a former train station!

5- Wine O'clock

Looking for a relaxing end of the day after strolling around Paris? This spot is for you. It's a wine bar with an incredible sound system that's also very discreet. Montezuma is its name and it's located in the financial Bourse district. It's famous for the wine, the cool space, and the music.
