[New post] Perfect Sunday Travel-Day Itinerary for Busan
Chad Card posted: " Even though Sundays in Busan are usually cut short since you will need to travel home, it doesn't mean that can't still be full of adventure and magic. As regulars in Busan, here is what we like to do on a Saturday before catching the train back home. "
Even though Sundays in Busan are usually cut short since you will need to travel home, it doesn't mean that can't still be full of adventure and magic. As regulars in Busan, here is what we like to do on a Saturday before catching the train back home.
Wakeup at Arban Hotel
We absolutely love this boutique hotel. We think it's the perfect spot for a weekend in Busan. It's near all our favorite spots. Staying here makes adventure easy.
Grab a Busan Street Snack Immediatly
Heading to the beach just to relax and read before heading home. Grabbed some egg bread from this sweet elderly gentleman at a street cart near the subway. One of the best ones we've had - it was sweet with the soft-boiled egg inside done just right. Egg bread is most available in the fall and winter. It's between 1,000-2,000 depending on the vendor.
Scones at Life Bakery
The last time we were in Busan, we stumbled upon this great scone and gooey bar shop in Jeonpo, but to our utter sadness, it was closed down and replaced by a Portuguese egg tart shop (which I am sure is still good. Luckily, we found they had another location near Haeundae Beach in this cute little alley. Grateful for old discoveries that lead to new ones!
A Morning Walk in Busan is a MUST
A little alleyway of surprises to start your day. You can find whimsy and delight in cute areas across Busan. Getting out of your car and wandering around will bring you closer to build a feeling of "home" in your new home country. Each time we visit Busan we are less tourists and more just people having a beautiful Sunday.
Time to Head to Haeundae Beach but First Ice Cream
Headed to the beach, but not before grabbing some snacks. First stopped at this all-natural, sugar-free ice cream bar - @01_icecreambar - and loved every moment taking in this goodness. Even the way he staged the ice cream blew us away.
A Lazy, Fall Walk on Haeundae Beach
Took another walk along Haeundae Beach to work off some calories and to enjoy the water before it gets too cold. You don't have to swim to love time here. A beach is a gorgeous place to be year round
Grab Lunch at Dope_P Before Heading Home
We grabbed lunch Dope_p before heading home. Probably the best thin crust pizza we've had as it was covered in cheese that had been crispified. Truffle fries were also great! Since we are HUGE pizza fans, find this tasty pizza spot was a highlight.
Time to Head Home Around 2:00
Since we like to also stop for a slow and delicious dinner and coffee on the way home, we like to head back just after lunch. This gives us time to travel, enjoy dinner, and not get back home too late. We life just south of Seoul.
Final Notes
You will notice that we didn't try to pack in 'sights' on Sunday. Instead, we try to take time to embrace the feeling and pace of the city. To simply be.
