It rained last week in other parts of the county, just not in our part, but last night it found its way to us! Sweet refreshing rain. I know the plants were so very happy. The rain didn't come alone either. Thunder was it's companion. I love the sound of distant thunder. The low roll of the drum signaling a change in the weather and a change of vibe for me. I heard the thunder drum long before the rain arrived. The skies turned steely gray, the leafs began flipping over and waving a bit more. The stray cats ate and left rather than lingering on the porch or yard. I began to hear the drum rolls and was so hopeful. As I prepared dinner the drums were still marching toward us and by the time I did my evening sweeping it was raining. It didn't last long but I'm so thankful for what rain we got, hoping for more soon.
