I can the hum of refrigerator and a passing car every so often, they're out early, getting on with life. I hear birds calling out through the windows that are open before the heat of the day really sets in and that's all I hear. I can see the inky sky gathering just a paint brush touch of light, barely a touch. I like the inky sky, the indigo. I don't see the moon from my vantage point. He's behind me probably watching from the shadows. I'll see him later after the day is done, but for now, it's just beginning and I need a nice hot cup of tea.
