LEONARDTOWN, Md. — The Board of Education has announced a significant administrative appointment for Leonardtown High School. In a meeting held on June 26, 2024, the Board appointed Ms. Virginia Gretton as the new Assistant Principal for the upcoming academic year.
Dr. J. Scott Smith, Superintendent of Schools, shared the news, expressing confidence in the Board's decision. Ms. Gretton, who is well-acquainted with Leonardtown High School, has served as an English teacher and Acting Assistant Principal at the institution. Her new role as Assistant Principal, effective July 29, 2024, will extend for an 11-month term.
Ms. Gretton's academic qualifications include a Master's Degree from Towson University and a Bachelor's Degree from Salisbury University. Her experience and educational background make her a fitting choice for the position, poised to contribute positively to the school's administrative team.
