My daughter arrives yesterday and after work we go to the climbing gym. It was women's night and there are a bunch of women at different climbing levels. I tried one of the tall walls for the first time.
So, is climbing play for adults? Children too. For hopscotch kids learn balance to hop and taking turns and competition and interaction for fun. Jump rope too, but then they learn rhymes! Not so different than the climbing gym, except that we weren't doing rhymes. Maybe we should! I'll have to come up with one.
We sang: "Cindarella
dressed in yella
went downtown to catch a fella
on the way her girdle busted
How many people were disgusted?
1, 2, 3, (count until you miss!)"
The photograph is my daughter and niece a long time ago, trying out all the costumes and deciding what to play in the castle.
Here is Roald Dahl's fabulous take on Cindarella: https://www.familyfriendpoems.com/poem/cinderella-by-roald-dahl.
For the Ragtag Daily Prompt: hopscotch.
You never know what you will find when you search on the internet. I was not expecting this.
