Tehran Lebrons Butler, 18, of Nanjemoy
On June 5, officers from the Charles County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) Warrant Unit, along with members of the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Task Force, apprehended Tehran Lebrons Butler, 18, of Nanjemoy. Butler was wanted in connection with a non-fatal shooting that occurred in late May.
The incident in question took place on May 27 at approximately 1:30 a.m. in the 9100 block of Jessie Lizzy Place in Nanjemoy. Responding to reports of a shooting, patrol officers arrived at the scene to find a victim with a gunshot wound to the face. The victim, whose injuries were not life-threatening, was promptly transported to a hospital for treatment.
During their initial investigation, officers identified the shooter as someone known to the victim. However, the suspect had already fled into a nearby wooded area by the time police arrived. Despite establishing a perimeter, officers were unable to locate the suspect immediately.
Subsequently, a warrant was issued for Butler's arrest, charging him with attempted murder, first-degree assault, and other related offenses. The search for Butler began in earnest, with officers following various leads and gathering evidence. A search warrant was executed at a residence on Jessie Lizzy Place as part of the investigation.
Butler was eventually located in Bryans Road, Maryland, where he was apprehended without incident. The successful arrest was the result of coordinated efforts between the CCSO and the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Task Force.
The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing as officers continue to gather information and pursue any additional leads.
