Solomons, MD / Thursday, June 20, 2024 – The Solomons Business Association (SBA) has announced the schedule for this year's 4th of July activities on Solomons Island. The festivities, renowned for their community spirit, will be highlighted by the annual fireworks display, primarily funded by a grant from the Calvert County government through the Department of Economic Development. Additional support comes from generous donations by local businesses and individual contributions via a GiveSendGo fundraiser.

Location: Our Lady Star of the Sea Parking Lot, Alexander Lane, Solomons - 1st Maryland Regiment Colonial Reenactors Encampment / 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: Corbin Nature Pavilion, Calvert Marine Museum - Historical Adventure Quest (for Children) / 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Location: Begins at Calvert Marine Museum, Corbin Nature Pavilion - Live Concert: Calvert Brass Consortium / Time TBD

Parking and Transportation
Parking on and around Solomons Island is limited. Overflow parking will be available at Glascock Field for $5 starting at 3:00 PM. All proceeds from this parking fee will be donated to the Calvert High ROTC. Trolley buses will transport visitors from Glascock Field and around the island to ensure easy access to all events.

Live music will be a significant part of the celebrations, featuring performances by the Calvert Brass Consortium, Unclouded Day, and Social. The boat parade, starting at noon, will be another visual treat, leading up to the grand fireworks display over the Patuxent River at 9:15 PM.
