Wasn't that long ago, though I am not sure how many of you actually remembered that. Just 5 years ago, i.e., 2019.
5 (or 6) year gaps are the norm for this type of repeating holiday given that we have 7 days in a week. So, we essentially cycle through the week. Leap years mess this up & we then get a 11 year gap. This year was a leap year. So, the 5 year gap, rather than 6.
Last year it was a on a Tuesday. So like this year, not that handy for a long 3-day weekend. But, I am sure some will make it into a 4-day long weekend. Good on ya.
Next Thursday will be 6 years from now, 2030.
