This Polwarth/Silk turned out closer to lace weight than fingering weight, is over 1,000 yards and weighs 5 ounces. It needs to be rewound and measured again since a washed skein will draw up after washing. This would make a nice lacy scarf knitting project.
I have almost an ounce of this fiber spun with another ounce to go on this bobbin. The other two ounces will be spun on a separate bobbin for another 2-ply yarn. This is a Merino/Silk blend and is spinning up more like a fingering yarn singles than the Polwarth/Silk which is what I prefer.
The braid on the bottom left is what I'm working on and I hope that the two other blue and white braids when spun up will coordinate with this one for a single project, perhaps a woven scarf. If not, each one on it's own will make a nice finished project.
So, here it is Friday. Again. A whole week has whooshed by me once more and I don't know where the time went but it surely wasn't spent blogging each day this past week. It's not that I'm in a writing slump or anything like that I guess I just get busy and the next thing I know the day is gone and I haven't written a single word. Time was when I spent most evenings constructing a post to go out first thing in the morning. Then that turned into just writing and posting whenever during the day. Sounds like I need to get back to the drawing board and plan a week's worth of posts on different subjects and be prepared to get something posted.

Speaking of Friday, I try to remind folks of R.E.D. Friday aka Remember Everyone Deployed Friday. We have men and women in harms way across this globe and need to keep them all in our daily prayers and pray them home safely. Our world grows increasingly scary and violent, even right here in the good old U. S. of A. so we should not shirk in our daily prayers and quiet time with God in order to counter all the evil and crime in our cities and at our Southern Border. Evil men have entered our country to commit evil acts and our government is allowing it to happen, putting the burden of protection of our citizens on local and state law enforcement.
We will overcome these imported criminal terrorists one way or the other. Things can't stand as they are, something has to give. We have to regain law and order in this country. I pray your Friday is a blessed one. Stay safe. Stay cool. God bless, ya'll.
