This past weekend, thousands of local residents and visitors packed downtown Main Street for the annual Woodland Street Cruisers Back to the Street car show.
Over 200 vehicles lined up along a five-block stretch of Main Street, starting at Walnut Street and running east to Third Street. A total of 30 awards were given out after the show, with Espartos' Michael Gnoss taking home the Best of Show award for his 1932 Ford 3-window Coupe.
Gnozz also took home the Best Paint award.
Notable award winners from Woodland included Rick Correll who won the Best Rat Rod and Best Engine for his 1941 Chevrolet truck, Bugs Ricardo who won Best Street Rod 1960 and later for his 1960 Chevrolet Impala, Gilbert Mangle who won Best Stock 1971 and later for his 1972 Chevrolet El Camino, Tony Gonzales who won Best Pickup up to 1959 for his 1953 Chevrolet 3500 pickup Acadio Puebla who won Best Low Rider for their 1964 Chevrolet Impala, Cassidy Speath who won Under Construction for their 1969 Ford Bronco, Eugene Muhlenkamp who won Best Miltary Vehicle for his 1492 Jeep GPW, Jan Blixen who won Best European for their 1954 Citroen Traction Avant, David Nusz who won Best Chevy for his 1936 Chevrolet Coupe, David McNamara who wonBest Mopar for his 1970 Dodge Challenger and Steve Borba who won the Best Orphan award for his 1989 Avanti.
The Largest Club Participation award also went to Woodalnd's Upper Cuts.
Jack White from Red Bluff won Best Ford for his 1934 Ford 3-window Coupe, Gary Arais from Fremont won Best Traditional Hot Rod up to 1941 for his1932 Ford Roadster, John Kelly from Fairfield won Best Traditional Hot Rod 1942 and Later for his 1946 Ford Tudor, Mike Swett from Sacramento won Best Street Rod up to 1959 for his 1940 Ford Sedan, Pete Bradford from Arbuckle won the Best Custom up to 1978 award for his 1938 Lincoln Zepher, Fred Strube from Corning won the Best Custom 1979 and later award for his 2001 Honda S2000, Dave and Angela Darchuk from Sacramento won the Best Stock up to 1970 award for their 1953 Chevrolet Bel-Air, Richard Chapman from Roseville won the Best Muscle Car up to 1969 award for his 1967 Chevrolet Nova.
Bob Imhoff from Fairfield won the Best Muscle Car 1970 and later award for his 1970 Chevrolet Corvette, James Chilimidos from Sacramento won the Best Pickup 1960 and later award for his 1993 Chevrolet 1500 Pickup, Chuck Adams won the Most Unusual award for his 1953 Chevrolet/Pontiac Double Front Car, Jasmine Duran won the Young Gun award for their 1967 Ford Mustang, Fred Strube from Corning won the Best Asian award for his 2001 Honda S2000, Joe Maestas from Klamath Falls Oregon won the Longest Distance Award and Mary Allen Slater from El Dorado Hills won the Best Upholstery for their 1966 Pontiac GTO.
