The top one was a challenge-- I painted it under a beach umbrella during a light misty rain trying to capture the feeling of enchantment I feel on this coastline. The second was made of a very brief moment when the sun burnt through the grey and warmed up the landscape and saturated the colors. The moments of sunlight are so striking in green, rain drenched places where the light is usually filtered through clouds.  Hidden Cove- 20x24" oil on panel | | | |
