It's been a busy week and we are both looking forward to the weekend. Brad has been out and about more than I have and he really needs some rest. He's been to the farm and back for Sarah to come out and do laundry and twice more to take one of the dogs to the vet as well as an emergency trip to the dentist for a cracked tooth. All is well and everything is under control for the time being. Progress is being made on the laundry room at the farm and it can't be finished too soon for our daughter and her family!
We are caught up on laundry and all I need to do is a little dusting and get the floor swept and we are done. Brad managed to get in a little range time yesterday afternoon while I finished laundry and did a little knitting. I think we both need a good breakfast this morning and I have egg and cheese muffins planned to go with our coffee. I'm going to let Brad sleep in for a bit, he did the same for me yesterday before heading to the farm to pick up Sarah and Magen and head to the vet for the second time in two days. She's having some problems digesting her food and might have a food allergy but there is nothing serious to worry about at this point. Her weight is good, her teeth and gums are healthy as is her coat. She's a lovely girl and a wonderful addition to the family, as is her sister Hava and their adoptive mother, Waya, who keeps them both in line.
I will be so glad when we are finished with Spring Allergy Season! Watery eyes, stuffy nose, sneezing. At least I've been spared a nasty headache for which I am very grateful. The weather turned cool for several days and was back up near 70° the past couple of days following very cool nights. There have been storms all around us but the worst of it has missed us so far. It's nice to have the yard back under control and not overgrown with grass and weeks after the winter months.
I've been doing more reading than knitting lately. My hands needed a rest from sock needles and I'm not really in the mood to work on anything else at the moment. Next up is to get the Ludlow Shawl finished and I might work on that over the weekend if I don't get too engrossed in my Sherlock Holmes stories.
Hope your week is winding down nicely and you will enjoy the weekend. Stay safe. Stay cozy. God bless, ya'll.
RED Friday! Remember Everyone Deployed!
