Daily writing prompt
How have you adapted to the changes brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic?
My first and perhaps only response is "What changes?"
Life for most of the folks I know has resumed pretty much as it was pre-pandemic. Perhaps in the medical field, there would be specific protocol and practice changes, but I don't know anyone in those fields to ask those questions.
In retail or restaurant industries, media and others say they were hit hard and many didn't make it through and still struggle today. I've read often post-pandemic about such and such a restaurant closing and it is due in part to never being able to recover from the losses during the pandemic. Okay, if that's what they're are saying, who I'm I to question it.
My daughter's restaurant/bar in Halifax went through the lockdowns; restrictions and "COVID - rules" like all restaurants and bars did through those years. Today, it is busier than it has ever been. Even as compared to before the pandemic hit.
Last year, Lynn and I made seven return flights between Nova Scotia and Ontario. Unless, I'm missing something, post-pandemic air travel is pretty much the same or exactly the same as it was pre-pandemic. If there are changes in post-pandemic air travel due to the pandemic, please point them out to me. I saw no difference.
I was a front-line worker throughout the entire time the pandemic essentially shut down the planet. I never missed a day of work; adapted as restrictions were implemented and then lifted. And then it was over or as more the case, things subsided and life moved on.
Changes post-pandemic - no adaption or not feeling the here.
