What's the most fun way to exercise?
Exercise regardless of the form it takes, should or definitely needs to be fun. Why? Well unless you're one of those into those gut-crushing workouts four days a week(which most are not), the workout or exercise will eventually begin to feel like a "work"out - and work implies a job and who wants another job?
Back in 2015/2016, I started going to our local YMCA to essentially "workout." I fell immediately into the thrill of it all; lost about 35 pounds; developed significant muscle change and ended up being in the best shape of my life for someone in their middle to late 50s.
It was great fun until the burnout started to creep in. As the burnout occurred, so did the injuries. The most significant one was a rotator cuff issue in my right shoulder.
Let's fast forward to 2024. I still have a shoulder issue yet to a much lesser degree - it depends on what I do and the direction I move or rotate my right shoulder.
So now, fun exercise for me is walking; hiking, yoga(need to be in the right mindset) and getting started on trail bike riding.
If exercise becomes a chore(so - not fun), most folks(I think) will tend to move away from it. So, find an exercise that suits you and is fun.
Fun is good.
