We had a really great Easter this year. We all got to attend Good Friday service which was really special. The kids did their egg hunt at our house on Saturday because I knew Sunday was going to be early and full. They all had fun. On Sunday morning Caedmon and Leighton went on the 5:15AM sunrise hike and devotion with the youth group. It was chilly but they really enjoyed it. At church we all served in different areas, Leighton, Caedmon and Clint all served in the kids ministry although Leighton and Caedmon served in the first service and Clint was in the second service. The three younger kids all sang in the kids choir both services which was a lot of fun. I was on the health/safety team for both services so we were all busy and serving as a family. After church we headed over to my parents for lunch. We had a very good lunch and then did a photo scavenger hunt. The kids used the cameras they got for Christmas and Clint and I used our phones. We had fun running around and trying to find all the things around their yard. After that we went on a walk and ended up in a huge game of tag in a nearby field. My dad and Edric tried to hide behind a tree but they didn't do a very good job. The kids have definitely gotten faster and are harder and harder to catch. We then had some yummy cake and played cards with everyone. It was a good afternoon and plenty of laughter all around. Great day to celebrate the resurrection. | | | |
